Det er blitt høst og en god stund siden forrige swap her på Art Pieces. Sommeren er for mange heller ikke høysesong for hobby, men nå, med kaldere/våtere vær og mørkere kvelder er tiden inne for å komme i gang igjen! Så meld deg på, dette er en fin mulighet til å bytte ATC'er, begynne å lage ATC-kort hvis du har tenkt på det en stund men ikke kommet i gang enda, komme ut av en eventuell "hobbytørke" og viktigst av alt: ha det gøy!

It is Autumn and it's been a while since the last swap here at Art Pieces. Summertime is for many of us not the time for crafting, but now, when the weather is becoming colder with darker evenings it's time to make some ATC's again! So please join in, this is a great opportunity to exchange ATC's, start making ATC's if you have thought about it for some time but haven't come around to do it yet, or get started again if you haven't had the time or spirit to craft lately. But most important: to have fun!

Påsken nærmer seg og da er det naturlig å ha en påskeswap, synes vi. Bidragene må altså ha noe med påsken å gjøre, enkelt og greit!

Valentine swap!

Om noen uker er det Valentines Day og vi syntes det var på tide med en swap (bytting av atc’er) her på Art Pieces. Først litt om Valentines Day:

14. februar er Valentines Day og på denne dagen skal man gi kjæresten sin en oppmerksomhet, gave og blomster, men ofte kort. Tradisjonen er mest utbredt i USA, der de ikke bare gir sin kjære en oppmerksomhet denne dagen, men også små kort, (ikke ulikt atc’er, faktisk!) til venner for å vise at de setter pris på dem. In a few weeks it is Valentines Day and we thought it was on time for a swap (atc-trading)here at Art Pieces. First a little about Valentines Day:

February 14th is Valentines Day, and this day one’s supposed to give the sweetheart something to tell him or her that you love them. A gift, note, flowers or often a card is the most common. The tradition is most usual in the US, where they not only give their loved one a card this day, but also give their friends small cards (similar to the size of atc’s actually!)to tell them that they care.
